Right Where We Are | Alexandra + Jak

“I didn’t think I’d meet anyone who would let me be myself... That all changed when I met you.”

Some love stories unfold with quiet magic. Others, like Alexandra and Jak’s, move like a symphony—layered, sweeping, intimate. From the moment we pressed record, it was clear: this wasn’t just a wedding—it was the culmination of a love born in chaos and anchored by deep connection. A love story that began in the uncertainty of March 2020, and now, years later, unfolded in full color at The English Manor.

As guests arrived under the golden October light, there was already a hum of anticipation—of something meaningful about to happen. The ceremony, scored by the gentle strains of The Rose Trio, held more than just vows; it held the weight of distance crossed, cultures joined, and comfort found. Jak’s English roots met Alexandra’s Jersey soul, and somewhere in between, they found home in each other.

The way her sister’s voice cracked recalling laughter through closed doors during lockdown… how Jak's friend teased him for “trying to crack America”… and the joy in Alexandra’s words as she promised cookies in November if he promised to keep making her laugh—every moment layered the day with humor, tenderness, and something unshakably real.

The reception was less a party and more a love-fueled celebration of the people who raised, shaped, and supported them. Her brother’s hilarious near-death curb anecdote. Her father’s speech, both proud and poetic. And Jak, standing in awe, receiving not just Alexandra’s hand but her entire world.
